Full Program
Summary:
Space systems play a crucial role in the functionality of critical domains such as communication and navigation. Recently there has been a growth in the number of satellitesin space which has heightened the interest of malicious actors who aim to harm satellites or the domains that depend on space systems. There is a need for advanced security measures to protect space systems. Software-defined networking (SDN) is presented in this work to counter security and network management issues in space systems. This work provides a software-defined network (SDN)-based space system simulation framework to support experimentation and the development of machine learning (ML)-based intrusion detection systems (IDS) dataset.
