2025 IEEE International Conference on Cyber Security and Resilience

Full Program

Summary:

Space systems play a crucial role in the functionality of critical domains such as communication and navigation. Recently there has been a growth in the number of satellites
in space which has heightened the interest of malicious actors who aim to harm satellites or the domains that depend on space systems. There is a need for advanced security measures to protect space systems. Software-defined networking (SDN) is presented in this work to counter security and network management issues in space systems. This work provides a software-defined network (SDN)-based space system simulation framework to support experimentation and the development of machine learning (ML)-based intrusion detection systems (IDS) dataset.
