Summary:
Global economies depend on the maritime industry, and digitalizing the maritime sector creates opportunities for adversarial actions and increases the risks associated with cybersecurity. While cybersecurity frameworks provide generic risk assessment and mitigation guidelines, the maritime sector also contains some specifics to consider when building cyber resilience. This paper aims to systemize maritime cybersecurity attack surface by reviewing the maritime cybersecurity definition and identifying specifics of maritime cybersecurity when compared to general frameworks. The study applies a systematic literature review method and considers scientific works and maritime-related legal documents.Author(s):
