Summary:
In our rapidly evolving digital world, robust cybersecurity is needed more than ever. CYRUS, which stands for “A personalised, customised, work-based training framework for enhanced CYbeRsecurity skills across industrial Sectors”, is a European project which aims to propose a novel cybersecurity training program to increase awareness and enable employees in the Transport and Manufacturing (TM) industries to effectively respond to and mitigate cyber threats and attacks. TM are increasingly under attack while, at the same time, dedication to training is low. CYRUS follows a three-step approach: (i) analysis of cybersecurity skills, competencies, training needs and skill gaps; (ii) design and development of short-term training courses; (iii) iterative validation of the training courses.

With over 20 years of experience, he has published extensively on cybersecurity and is an active member of various European organisations. His research focuses on unconventional security, cybercrime intelligence, organisational vulnerability assessment, and the human aspect of cybersecurity.

Katharina Lange has dedicated herself to communication in the manufacturing industry. Her background is in online marketing and visual storytelling. Since February 2023, she has been managing communications for international EU-funded projects such as CYRUS at EIT Manufacturing.

Alessia Golfetti joined Deep Blue in 2014 and has worked on projects related to Human Factors and Emergency Management, focusing on the integration of humans and technology in complex systems. She currently oversees the Secure Societies research area, addressing risk reduction, emergency management, and security promotion. Alessia has extensive experience in project management and the coordination of technical and scientific activities.
